About Us
TechQuest STEM Academy is a not-for-profit organisation that provides technology education content, tools and resources for the delivery of ICT, Digital Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and Capability Building programs to Africans at scale.
At TechQuest, we believe that technology is the foundation for modern-day economic growth and equipping people with digital skills will be critical for Africa’s rise in the digital economy. Without relevant talent and skill set, the gap between market needs and local solutions will continue to grow, and empowering people with the digital capacity and capabilities needed will help meet new and existing market needs.
Since its inception, TechQuest has focused on bridging the digital gap in Africa (particularly in Nigeria) with programs for young people, educators, entrepreneurs and public sector officials and organisations. We have a physical presence in 19 of the 36 states in Nigeria but our online programmes have reached participants from all 36 states in Nigeria and other African countries.
Over the past five years, through community engagements, we have been able to organise over 2980 workshops/training, impacted over 37,583 people, trained 1071 educators and engaged in about 245 schools. We also have a community of over 92 mentors consisting of industry professionals and experts from different parts of the world that have volunteered in our programs.
Our organisation’s focus is consistent with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Education, SDG 5 on gender equality and SDG 8 on decent work and economic growth.
