Gloria Okorie has extensive experience driving innovation programs in innovation hubs and large corporations as a consultant. To startups, I am an innovation coach and have helped set up more than 20 innovative entrepreneurs in sub-Sahara Africa by running startup mentoring programs at Impact Hub, a global network of hubs building impact-driven entrepreneur.
Gloria brings in her experience of working with local entrepreneurs in Nigeria, focusing on how their development and innovation capacity can influence the ecosystem, resulting in social & environmental impact. Her career path places her in the position to develop structures that ensures better living conditions and value of life for humans largely by creating programs that equip youths with skills which they use in building businesses. A member of the Education and Employment Steering Committee of the World Economic Forum Global shapers community, I serve as a consultant and mentor to help in driving and executing initiatives around education and employment both regionally and globally.
I have also served in my capacity as a business mentor for the just concluded ETHLagos Hackathon with the Nigerian Energy Service Program and GIZ where I helped participants build their ideas into businesses and I am currently coordinating a cohort program for 50 businesses in the BMZ funded New Economy Booster Program which has raised entrepreneurs that have featured on the Baobab Insights selection of 40 Precision Agriculture Companies in Africa and DonorsforAfrica as top innovative businesses in Africa.
