TechQuest STEM Academy, Nigeria’s leading digital literacy organization is partnering with IHS Nigeria to deliver Online Summer training to teachers and students as part of the Mission-T program.

The IHS Summer Training Program is implemented by TechQuest STEM Academy LTD/GTE, a nonprofit organization that provides necessary STEM contents, and has delivered quality STEM and Digital literacy programs to over 25,000 young Africans at scale.

This strategic initiative would support efforts to help navigate the current and post-COVID 19 pandemic. It is also consistent with the goal of the Mission-T initiative, to increase participation in STEM careers and activities.

The Summer training will engage the teachers and students with STEM courses during this COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will be introduced to Mobile App Development using App Inventor, Web Development using HTML/CSS and Introduction to Python Programming during the 1-month program.

The Summer training will equip the teachers and student with the technical skills to create innovative solutions

IHS, as one of the biggest players in telecommunications in the globe, seeks to help students and teachers harness this power of technology, increase their digital literacy skills and encourage them to be actively involved in solving the problems around them.

Alongside resources to be shared to the participants; textbook, workbook and videos, internet data will be provided for the first 200 teachers and the first 500 students to ease the learning process amidst this pandemic period.

The Mission-T program is an IHS initiative dedicated to improving STEM in Nigeria. The Mission-T program aims to introduce over 50,000 students & 1,000 teachers to interactive STEM courses like Computer Science Practical Education, Website Development, Games and Animation Design, Digital Electronics and Robotics.
