Kingsley Ebruke, Certified IT Project Manager and TechQuest Mentor joined the TechQuest Team on Saturday 27th June 2020 at 4:00 PM WAT for Introduction to Internet of Things webinar; the 9th edition of the TQ Webinar Series.

Internet of Things (commonly abbreviated as IoT) is simply a network of Internet-connected objects able to collect and exchange data. The word “Internet of Things” has two main parts; the Internet being the backbone of connectivity, and Things meaning objects/devices.

IoT applications promise to bring immense value to our lives. With newer wireless networks, superior sensors and revolutionary computing capabilities, the Internet of Things could be the next frontier of digital transformations.

At the end of the session, attendees:

  • 1. Knew and understood the basic definition of IoT
  • 2. Learnt about how IoT is in use today, and share some examples of their own
  • 3. Took interest in learning more and even look to build their own IoT ecosystems
