Katlego Mokgethi is the CEO of the Van De Carter Group, a wholly black female-owned and operated diversified investments company with real estate and waste management subsidies. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Botswana Accountancy College, a Certificate in Social Innovation from the University of Capetown and a Certificate in Real Estate Program from Ba Isago University. She is a member in good standing of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana (REIB) and a registered member of the Real Estate Advisory Council of Botswana (REAC). The 29-year-old thought leader aspires to synergize her passion for real estate and entrepreneurship development to build a formidable empire that will be a yardstick for excellence in Africa.
Katlego is the Founder and Executive Director of Market Players, a corporate social initiative founded and funded by the Van De Carter Group. Market Players is an entrepreneurship development program whose goal is to reduce the failure rate of businesses owned by indigenous citizens of Botswana through an array of incubation, acceleration and funding programs. Her overall goal is to make an active and deliberate effort towards the economic emancipation of native Africans. She believes that the growth of pan-African businesses is instrumental in the unemployment and generational cycles of poverty in Africa.
