TeachAKid2Code is a project initiated by TechQuest with the goal of training 5000 kids across 7 states in Nigeria. The method of delivery is through a community of volunteers that would be created and trained to deliver the training in TechQuest Clubs that will be created in schools as extra-curricular activities during the time specified by the school authorities.

The states in question include Lagos, Osun, Enugu, Anambra, Plateau, Abuja, and Ibadan. Our target is to train 800 kids in each of these states through at least 10 clubs within the state and introducing 20 kids each week to coding for 8 weeks. This number is our internal target to reach over 5000 kids through this project. The second phase of the project trained the volunteers across the 7 states. The training of the 5000 kids ran from the 15th of October till the 8th of December 2018. This project is aligned with AfricaCodeWeek which is supported by Google.
